RE: THE WAY TO HAPPINESS
In 1981 L. Ron Hubbard wrote "The Way To Happiness", a non-
religious moral code that has been distributed to more than 53 million
people internationally.
Mr. Hubbard was keenly aware that the modern world lacked a code of
morals befitting our faster, high-tech and highly pragmatic society.
Old values had been broken and not replaced by new ones.
Moral codes of ages past were religiously based and demanded a faith
that many could not muster in this era of waning church attendance.
Mr. Hubbard set out to write a new moral code, one that was based not
on faith, but on common sense which appealed to man's reason and his
natural inclination to better his survival.
Below are the moral precepts from "The Way To Happiness"

And now for the truth
Apparently the Christian Bible wasn't good enough for L. Ron Hubbard.
The suggesion that human morality could some how be improved by anything
Hubbard came up with is in keeping with the rest of the megalomaniac's
bizarre opinions of himself and, in fact, Hubbard discarded the phrases
"Before Christ" and "After Christ" in favor of his
own phrases "Before Dianetics" and "After Dianetics."
That shows the level of delusions of godhood Hbbard experienced.
The Scientology organization's "Way to Happiness" booklet is
one of the organization's many advertising efforts designed to make people
think that Scientology actually has something of value to sell to the
public. Scientology's public relations campaigns are usually focused
upon trying to get Hubbard's bizarre notions accepted outside of the
criminal enterprise he created and "Way to Happiness" is more
of the same. The organization has tried to get some of this nonsense
published in advertisements in New York after the terrorist attacks when
Scientology's "Volunteer Ministers" went to New York to
deliberately disrupt the relief efforts there.
While most of the notions Hubbard enumerated are common sense and not
anything new or even exciting, here and there in his list you can find
what he was really trying to sell. As an example, Scientology wants
very desperately to be considered to be a real religion some how and
they want people to believe that not accepting their notions that they're
a religion (rather than a criminal enterprise) some how constitutes
disrespect for their "religion." So they toss that one in
there and hope you won't notice that they're asking you to believe they
deserve respect.
What's also important to point out is that L. Ron Hubbard and his
fellow ringleaders in the criminal enterprise he created did not and
do not follow most of these principles.
There are 37 "common sense guides to better living"
enumerated by Scientology above. Reviewing Hubbard's history, we find
that he managed to meet 6 of them. He did in fact rest from time to
time. He couldn't be promiscuous since he had extreme sexual
dysfunction problems. He was never convicted of murder despite the
large number of homicides his followers have experienced at their own
hands. He has "looked" before, no doubt, and he certainly
"practiced" his criminal swindles and honed his criminal
skills to a fine point. Lastly he was most certainly
"industrious." He created a massive criminal empire the
likes of which have not been seen outside of the Italian Mafia.
Are "Volunteer Ministers" which worship a man who discarded
the Christian calendar in favor of dating things before and after
his own creation "Dianetics" people you can trust?
